County Court begun and held for the County of Duplin at the Court House thereof on the third Monday of October, being the 16th day of said Month 1809. Present: The Worshipfull Daniel Glisson, Edward Pearsall, Wm. Southerland, James Maxwell, John Hufham, Esquires. Upon motion [ordered] Alexander West, a child of colour now about sixteen years of age, be bound apprentice to John Hufham till he attain to the age of twenty-one years to learn to be a farmer and to get his living by labour.
