William J. Rouse Succumbs, Buried At Rockfish 

Rose Hill -- William Joseph Rouse, 69, of the Charity Community died in 
the Sampson Memorial Hospital in Clinton Wednesday afternoon after a 
serious illness of three weeks.
Funeral services were held from the Charity Methodist Church Friday 
afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. E. C. Vale, pastor, assisted by the 
Rev. W. B. Cotton of Snow Hill, a former pastor. Burial was in the 
Rockfish Cemetery in Wallace.
He is survived by three sons, David, Chester and Hugh Rouse, all of Rose 
Hill; two brothers, Carson and Alfred J. Rouse, Rose Hill, one sister, 
Mrs. Florence Carter of Wallace, and three grandchildren.
