Obituary of William Franklin Dail ~ 1988

Chinquapin - William Franklin (Bill) Dail, 79, of Route 1, Chinquapin, 
died unexpectedly Friday afternoon, June 17 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 19 at 2 p.m. from the 
Chinquapin Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Eugene Davis and Rev. 
Jack Dail. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens near Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eugenia King Dail; two daughters, Mrs. 
Billy (Kathy) Mobley of Beulaville and Mrs. Thomas (Kay) Holland of 
Chinquapin; one son, William H. (Bill) Dail of Houston, Texas; one siser, 
Mrs. T. G. (Clara) Huffman of Chinquapin; one brother, Albert Dail of 
Wilmington and four grandsons.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Dail was the son of the late Riley Hayes 
and Agnes Lanier Dail. He was a retired farmer and a member of the 
Chinquapin Presbyterian Church.
Casketbearers will be Robert Long, John Sanders, Terry Dail, Jerry Dail, 
Pat Huffman and Kenneth Huffman. Honorary bearers will be Ray Southerland, 
Tim Wood, Preston Albertson, Levon Sandlin, George F. Landen and Mrs. 
Elizabeth James.
The family received at the Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace from 7:30 to 9 
p.m. Saturday and will be at their residence, Route 1, Chinquapin other 
times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 12 noon Sunday when it will 
be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.
