William James "Jimmy" Andrews, 74, of Chinquapin, a retired farmer, died 
Tuesday. Funeral 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Edgerton Funeral Chapel. 
Burial, Batts Cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Hettie Parrott of Kinston and Mrs. Joyce 
Fountain of Chinquapin; sons, Jack of Dublin and Robert Allen Andrews of 
Beulaville; sisters, Mrs. Herman Southerland and Mrs. Orbit Cavenaugh of 
Chinquapin and Mrs. Leon Sholar of Wallace; brother, Hampton Andrews of 
Chinquapin; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, he was the son of the late Jesse Jack and Anna 
Lanier Andrews. In addition to his farming interest, he was a retired 
carpenter. He was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers were David Southerland, Jesse Scott, Osborne Brown, Jim 
Sholar, William Hill Andrews and James Andrews.
