Obituary of Walter Lee Taylor ~ 1954

Funeral services for Walter Lee Taylor, 80, 612 South Second Street, will 
be held at 4 p. m. Thursday at the Yopp Funeral chapel.
Mr. Taylor died at James Walker Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ina Taylor; four daughters, Mrs. James A. 
Kelly of Austin, Tex., Mrs. A. W. Norris of Raleigh, Mrs. W. E. Keen Sr. 
and Mrs. B. G. White of Wilmington; three sons, J. B. and L. L. Taylor 
Sr., of Jacksonville, Fla., and W. V. Taylor of Columbia; a brother, 
Luther J. Taylor of Sneads Ferry, 11 grandchildren and two great-
Services will be conducted by the Rev. E. K. Beckett. Interment will be at 
Oakdale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Linwood Taylor Jr., Paul Keen, J. B. Taylor Jr., Grier 
White, Luther Taylor and Chester W. Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be 
L. I. Beard, Wilbur Brown, Clifford Harris, D. T. Branch, Dr. S. E. Pace, 
Dr. Mike Hall, O. E. Patrick, H. C. Byrd, J. P. Mewborne and J. M. Shinn.
