Obituary of Ulmont Lee Swinson ~ 1977

Mr. Ulmont Lee Swinson, 78, formerly of 5451 Wrightsville Avenue, died 
in Cape Fear Memorial Hospital Sunday morning after a long illness.
Born in Duplin County April 26, 1899, he was the son of the late 
Theophilus and Nancy Fussell Swinson.
Mr. Swinson was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Esther Inez Swinson, of the home; three daughters: Mrs. Esther Eason of 
Wilmington, Mrs. Grace Casteen of Magnolia, N.C., Mrs. Nancy Drew of 
Jacksonville, N.C.; two sons: Johnny Swinson of Wilmington, Julius 
Swinson of Wallace, N.C.; one brother: Clarence Swinson of Washington 
D.C.; one sister: Mrs. Maggie Rogers of Rose Hill, N.C.; 14 grandchildren 
and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the chapel of 
the Ward Funeral Home with Rev. A.C. Wheeler officiating.
Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Byrd Fussell Cemetery at 
Rose Hill.
The family will receive friends at Ward Funeral Home Monday from 7-8 p.m.
