Wallace - Mrs. Rubena J. James, 71, of Rt. 2, Wallace, died Friday night 
in New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Edgerton 
Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. David Bays and Rev. Samuel W. Swinson.
She is survived by 1 daughter; Mrs. Denver (Eloise) McMahan of Wallace; 3 
sons, Albert James of Moncks Corner, S.C., R.C. James and Edward (Tink) 
James both of Wallace, 2 sisters; Mrs. T. G. (Lottie) Raynor of Wallace 
and Mrs. C.L. (Eunice) Humphries of Gaynesville, Ga., 3 brothers; Roland 
James and Roe James both of Wallace and Kellom James of Gahanna, Ohio, 28 
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. James was the daughter of the late Rudolph 
and Ida Sholar James, she was the widow of Mr. Almon James and was a 
member of the Oakdale Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Mrs. James Nephew's.
The family received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and will 
be at Mrs. James residence Rt. 2 Wallace at other times.
