Wallace -- Rosa Wood Pierce, age 73, died Tuesday in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from Edgerton Funeral 
Chapel conducted by the Rev. K. D. Brown and the Rev. Vance Rich, Rev. 
J. W. Bock and Rev. Billy Toler. 
Burial will follow in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery at Chinquapin.
Surviving are her husband, Corbett T. Pierce; three daughters, Mrs. 
Thelma P. Brunson of Sumter, S. C., Mrs. Hazel Pierce of West Palm Beach, 
Fla. and Mrs. Sallie Snider of Columbia, S. C. Three sons, Robert C. 
Pierce, of Vera Beach, Fla. and John A. Pierce of Whitakers, N. C. and 
Gene A. Pierce of Wallace. Four sisters, Mrs. C. M. Prescott of Sumter, 
S. C., Mrs. R. J. Holliday of Wilmington and Mrs. Henry L. Sanderson, Sr., 
of Magnolia, Mrs. Pinkie Lanier of Chinquapin; 24 grandchildren and 12 
great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary 
Lanier Wood and a member of the Northeast Pentecostal Freewill Baptist 
Church.
Active pallbearers will be John W. Wood, O. K. Wood, James E. Lanier, 
H. L. Saunderson Jr., Andrew Prescott and Warren Prescott.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Edgerton Funeral Home, Wallace.
