Obituary of Mary Lona Carter Humphrey ~ 1977

Mrs. Lona Mary Carter Humphrey, 87, widow of Clennie Humphrey of 1705 Pink 
Hill Road, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. 
Services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from Garner's Funeral Home 
Chapel. Rev. W. K. Wellman will officiate. 
Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. 
Survivors include one son, Ralph Humphrey of Kinston; one daughter, Mrs. 
Carrie Mae Braxton of Washington, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. J. F. Mohn of 
Richlands and Mrs. Leona Miller of Wilmington; five grandchildren; and 
four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral 
home 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
