Rocky Point - Mary Pearl Bonham, 73, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at 
Huntington Health Care.
Mrs. Bonham was born September 9, 1926, in Brunswick County and was the 
daughter of the late J.W. and Fannie Lowhorn Cavanaugh. 
She was predeceased by her son, Robert Henry Bonham and three grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Rufus Bonham of the home; children, Rufus 
Bonham Jr. and wife, Frances, of Rocky Point, Janice LaVere and husband, 
Douglas, of Kings Mountain, Thomas Bonham and wife, Kimberly, of Rocky 
Point, and Rodney Bonham and wife, Marilynn, of Wilmington; four 
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; twin brother, Johnny Cavanaugh 
of Bolivia; sisters, Ida Mae Guthrie of Wilmington, Magnolia Mintz of 
Wilmington, Nolan Cavanaugh of Wilmington, Carrie Watkins of Wilmington; 
and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. today at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home 
Chapel with the Rev. Winfield Kelly and the Rev. Merrell McKoy officiating.
Burial will follow in Riley's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Donnie Ray Pickett, Joe Pickett, Avery Herring, 
Larry Flake, Harold Lynn Lunsford, and Woody Watkins.
