Obituary of Martha Mae Cottle Futrell ~ 2004

Richlands - Martha Mae Cottle Futrell, 91, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, 
at her home. A funeral service was held Monday, April 26, 2004, at Johnson 
Funeral Home in Richlands with the Revs. Randall Pearce and Fred Tapper 
officiating. 
Visitation followed the service at the funeral home. 
Burial was Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Onslow Memorial Park in 
Jacksonville. Martha was a member of the Floyd Pond Holiness Church in 
Richlands. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoppy William and Annie Jane 
Foster Cottle; son, Hoppy Liston Futrell; and grandson, David Glenn 
Kennedy. 
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Lee Futrell Sr.; two sons, Harvey 
Lee Futrell Jr. and wife, Iris, of Trenton, and William Ray Futrell and 
wife, Pat, of Elizabeth City; a daughter, Shelvia Jean Kennedy of Pink 
Hill; a daughter-in-law, Willie Futrell, of Pensacola, Fla.; 11 
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 
Johnson Funeral Home in Richlands was in charge of arrangements.
