Obituary of Maggie Southerland Rivenbark ~ 1979

Wallace - Mrs. Maggie Southerland Rivenbark, 77, died Sunday morning in 
Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville. 
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. from the Island Creek 
Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. John Allen. 
Burial will follow in Pin Hook Cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Wendell Evans of Magnolia, Mrs. Durwood 
Parker of Rose Hill, Mrs. Kenneth Crawford of Jacksonville and Mrs. Frank 
Wiciak of Genoa, Ohio; one step-daughter, Mrs. Marchel Crawley of Wallace; 
five sons, Raymond Stone of High Point and Ronald Rivenbark, Donald 
Rivenbark, Eugene Rivenbark and Pearlie Rivenbark Jr., all of Wallace; 
five stepsons, Oscar Rivenbark, Edwin Rivenbark, Allen Rivenbark, Cameron 
M. Rivenbark and Mance Rivenbark, all of Wallace; one sister, Mrs. Cliff 
Ramsey of Wallace; one brother, James Southerland of Kinston; 37 
grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late John Farrior 
and Margaret Alice Rouse Southerland and was the widow of Pearlie Rivenbark
Sr. She was a member of the Island Creek Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Linwood Hanchey, Joel Rivenbark, David H. Rivenbark 
Sr., Rayford Brown, Gerald Southerland and Charles Rivenbark.
Honorary bearers will be the adult men's Bible class of the Island Creek 
Baptist church.
The family will receive friends at Edgerton Funeral Home of Wallace from 
7-9 p.m. Monday where visitations will remain until 1 p.m. Tuesday when 
the body will be taken to the church.
