Obituary of Lura Frances Norris Register ~ 1992

Lura Norris Register, age 79, of Route 3, Wallace, died unexpectedly 
Tuesday morning, May 26, 1992, at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, from the 
Wallace Presbyterian Church conducted by Dr. Charles Davenport. 
Burial will follow in Cavenaugh Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Wilber (Henrietta) Norris of 
Chinquapin, Mrs. Chuck (Linda) Honke of Crofton, Md., and Mrs. Frankie 
Fountain of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, David Register and wife Dru of 
Wallace; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Register was the daughter of the late 
David Hardy and Luola Cavenaugh Norris. She was the widow of John Rice 
Register and was a member of the Wallace Presbyterian Church.
Casketbearers will be Wendell Teachey, Coy Carter, John David Cavenaugh, 
Aaron Cavenaugh, Steve Cavenaugh and Edward Fountain.
The family received at the Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace from 7:00 to 
9:00 p.m. Wednesday and will be at their residence, Route 3, Wallace, 
other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 12:30 p.m. Thursday when 
it will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.
