Obituary of Lucy Grey English James ~ 2005

Lucy English James, age 78, of Wallace, died Friday, November 11, 2005, 
at her residence.
Mrs. James was born April 12, 1927, in Duplin County, and was daughter 
of the late Dewey and Margaret Gavin English. She was predeceased by 
her husband, Roland C. James; son, Floyd Ray James; daughter, Janice 
James Sikes; grandson, Kevin Sikes; sister, Annie Kelly; and brother, 
Freddie English.
She attended Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, June Cavenaugh and husband Stanley of Wallace; 
grandchildren, Hogue Cavenaugh and wife Marci, Jason Cavenaugh and wife 
Ramona, and Rolanda West and husband Clayton, all of Wallace; great-
grandchildren, Kayla Ethridge, Kelly Cavenaugh, Kyle Cavenaugh, Brittany 
Cavenaugh, Melissa Cavenaugh, Joshua Cavenaugh, Katelin West, Zachary 
West and Brett Sikes; great-great-grandchildren, Harleigh Ethridge and 
Hayden Ethridge; and brother, Aubine English and wife Lena of Rose Hill.
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM today (Sunday) at Quinn-McGowen Funeral 
Home, Wallace Chapel, with Pastor Lester Hunter and Pastor Billy Toler 
officiating.
Entombment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Watha.
Casketbearers will be Leon Humphries, James Floyd Kelley, Floyd Kelley, 
D.C. English, Duncan Cavenaugh and Mack Raynor.
The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, one hour prior 
to funeral service and other times at the home of June and Stanley 
Cavenaugh.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Northeast PFWB Church, 
129 Hanchey Rd., Wallace, NC 28466.
Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wallace is serving 
the James family.
