Obituary of John Lester Marshburn Sr ~ 1978

Mr. Johnnie Lester Marshburn Sr. age 72, died in Cornelia Nixon Davis 
Nursing Home Sunday after a long illness.
Born in Onslow County Nov. 5, 1905, he was the son of the late J.E. and 
Amanda Benton Marshburn.
Mr. Marshburn is survived by one daughter, Mrs. A.A. (Betty) Maynard III; 
one son, Donald Ray Marshburn; one brother, James B. Marshburn, all of 
Wilmington; five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
He was a member of College Acres Baptist Church. Graveside services were 
conducted in Bellevue Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. H. Ellis 
Lanier officiating.
