Obituary of John Casper Edward Heyer ~ 1973

John Edward Heyer, 74, of Rose Hill died Friday at his home.
The funeral was held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian 
Church. The Rev. W. Clark Porter III will officiate. 
The burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lena Kilpatrick Heyer of the home; four 
daughters, Mrs. Curtis Greenway of Conyers, Ga., Mrs. Milton B. Bostic 
of Fayetteville, Mrs. T. K. Torrans of Rose Hill, and Mrs. Barbara 
Ricketts of Kinston; one sons, J. C. Heyer of Rose Hill; two sisters, 
Mrs. Katherine Heyer of Alexandria, Va. and Mrs. Greg Mosler of Dearborn, 
Mich., and 13 grandchildren.
A native of New Hanover County, Mr. Heyer was the son of the late John 
Casper and Mary Guthrie Heyer. He was a retired salesman for Johnson's 
Stores and a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. Mr. Heyer was 
a veteran of World War I.
Active pallbearers will be Earl Fussell, Harry Rouse, Tom Knowles and 
Charles Hawes, Jr.
Visitation can be made at Edgerton Funeral Home in Wallace until 2 p.m. 
Sunday when the body will be taken to the church.
