Obituary of John Thomas Batts ~ 1956

Warsaw -- John Thomas Batts, 88 retired farmer, died yesterday at his home 
near Magnolia.
He is survived by three sons, Ralph Batts, Durham, Alton Batts, Miami, 
Fla., and Shelton Batts, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Worth Potter, 
Goldsboro, Mrs. J. W. Evans, Mrs. J. A. Wilson and Mrs. Ella Wilson, all 
of Magnolia; two sisters, 32 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p. m. today at the Magnolia Baptist 
Church by the Rev. J. D. Everett. Burial was in the Magnolia Cemetery.
