Obituary of Joel Savage ~ 1997

Mr. Joel Savage, age 75, of 214 McCulloch Lane, Wilmington, N.C., died 
Wednesday, January 22, 1997, in Mariner Health of Wilmington.
Mr. Savage was born October 4, 1921, in Duplin County, N.C., to the late 
Ernest and Pricila Cavenaugh Savage.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Savage of the home; three sisters, 
Daisey Batton, Annie Billings and Nora Brown; a number of nieces and 
nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, January 24, 1997, in the Coble 
Ward-Smith Funeral Services, Oleander Chapel, with Reverend Jim Plummer 
officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 8 p.m. at Coble 
Ward-Smith Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
