Obituary of James Riley Dail ~ 1985

Chinquapin - Mr. James Riley Dail, 69, of Rt. 1, Chinquapin, died Monday
morning at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, after a lingering
illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Edgerton Funeral
Chapel conducted by the Rev. Frank Grubbs and the Rev. Eugene Hardin.
Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens near Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eveline Maready Dail; one daughter, Mrs.
Stanley (Peggy) Humphrey of Jacksonville; two sons, Kenneth Gerald Dail of
Chinquapin and George Mac Dail of Warsaw; one sister, Mrs. T.G. (Clara)
Huffman of Chinquapin; two brothers, William Dail of Chinquapin and Albert
Dail of Wilmington, and four grandchildren.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Dail was the son of the late Haze and Aggie
Agnes Lanier Dail. He was a retired farmer and a member of Lanier's Chapel
Baptist Church.
Casket bearers will be Gene Dail, Wayne Dail, Pat Huffman, Kenneth Huffman,
Clifton Huffman and Thoran Sumner.
Honorary bearers will be Wade Barber, Edgar Warren, Rifton Raynor, Clifton
Hic, J.C. Andrews, Relma Ayers, Ray Lanier, Lee Kellum and Jimmy Snyder.
The family received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and will
be at their residence on Rt. 1 Chinquapin, other times.
