Watha - Funeral services for Isaac Teachey, 79, of Watha, will be held 
today at 2 p.m. in the Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. A. C. Wheeler 
officiating. Burial will be in the Watha Methodist Church cemetery. The 
body will lie in state at the Freewill Baptist Church for one hour prior 
to services.
Mr. Teachey, who died at his home Monday after a long illness, was a 
retired farmer and a native of Duplin County. He was a member of the 
Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Teachey is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catharine Cavanaugh Teachey of 
the home; one daughter, Mrs. G. R. Padgett of Watha; three sons, Elbert 
Teachey of Watha, Jake Hugh Teachey and Aubrey Teachey, both Jacksonville, 
Fla.; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Olive Pate, James Andrews, Donald Padgett, 
Larry Padgett, W. C. White and Cyrus Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are 
Robert Beckton, John Murray, Graham Carr, M. B. Daniels, Roscoe Brice, 
Corbett Holder and Herbert Garriss.
