Obituary of Horace Edwin Norris ~ 1967

Wallace -- Horace Edwin Norris, 50, of Route 2, Wallace died Monday in 
Veterans Hospital in Durham. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 
3 p.m. from the Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. 
David Conert and Rev. Ray Garris. Burial was in the Cavenaugh Cemetery.
He was a native of Duplin County, a veteran of World War II, a machinist 
and was assistant supervisor for the J. P. Stevens Company of Wallace. He 
was past commander of American Legion Post 156, a member of the Woodmen 
of the World, a member of the Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist 
Church and was on the Board of Deacons.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carnell Raynor Norris of the home; two 
daughters, Mrs. Celia Norris Barnes of Raeford and Mrs. Annis Norris Weeks 
of Mexico City, Mex.; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Clark and Rubena Mobley, 
both of Wilmington and Mrs. Lura Register of Wallace; and two grandchildren.
