Obituary of Henry Clarence Wood ~ 1999

Harrells - Mr. Henry Clarence Wood, age 80, of 11106 Harrells Hwy., died 
in the Sampson Regional Medical Center Tuesday, August 3, 1999.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Royal-Hall 
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Fowler and Rev. Odell Peterson 
officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Harrells Cemetery.
Born in 1918 in Duplin County, Mr. Wood was the son of the late James 
Bland and Eva Frances Savage Wood. He was a retired farmer, a poultry 
grower and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Bell Wood; two daughters, Annette W. 
Torrans of Harrells and Brenda W. Owens of Leland; three sons, Radford 
Gurganious of Leland, Dalton Gurganious of Salisbury and Eddie Gurganious 
of Wilmington; three sisters, Margaret Baysden of Wilmington, Doris 
Blackburn and Francis Merritt, both of Clinton; one brother, Howard Wood 
of Wilmington; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7-8:30 p.m. at 
Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 
Annette W. Torrans, 10969 Harrells Hwy, Harrells, NC.
