ROSE HILL -- The funeral for George Allen Jr., 76, will be held Tuesday at 
11 a.m. in the chapel of Rose Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Woodron Grandy 
Jr. will officiate. 
Burial will be in Wynn Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Mr. Allen died Saturday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville. 
He is survived by his wife, Elouise D. Allen of Rose Hill; one son, 
Michael Allen of Kenansville; three daughters, Audrey Murray, Joyce Carr 
and Doris Rawls of Rose Hill; five brothers, Freeman Graham, Daniel Allen 
and Ralph Allen of Mount Olive, Henry Allen of Dudley and Edward Allen of 
Rose Hill; and three sisters, Minnie Ward of Mount Olive, Shirley Hornsby 
of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Maggie Melton of Garner; and 10 grandchildren and 
eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 7 p.m. at Rose Hill 
Funeral Home.
