McClammy Dies of Injuries

Asheville, Jan 18 - Special - E. L. McClammy who was injured at the Southern roundhouse 
Saturday morning, died yesterday at the Mission Hospital.  The funeral was held today from 
the Central Methodist Church, Rev. J. H. Barnhardt, officiating.  Members of the Masonic 
order conducted the rites at the grave.  A wife and two small children survive.  Work at the 
roundhouse was suspended one hour today while the funeral was in progress.

Note:
Edward was the son of George McClammy and Annie Eliza Gillespie.  He was born in 
Wilmington, NC in Jun 1877.  His parents were originally from Duplin County.  Edward 
married in Anson County, NC, on 10 Jul 1907, Sallie Maude Gaddy, daughter of Joseph T. 
Gaddy and Sarah Francis Randle.   Edward and Maude had two children:  Maude Gaddy 
McClammy and Sarah Randle McClammy.
