Obituary of Dollie Elizabeth Mobley Rogers ~ 1965

Wallace - Mrs. Dolly Elizabeth Mobley Rogers, 60, died Friday night at
Bladen County Hospital at Elizabethtown, after an extended illness.
A resident of Rt. 2, Wallace, she was a native of Duplin County, a
daughter of the late John Thomas and Sarah Carter Mobley. She was a
member of the Northeast Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Kirby Smith Rogers of the home; three
daughters, Mary Louise Deitz of Wilmington, Mrs. Violet Grace Futrelle
of Rose Hill, and Mrs. Evelyn Doris Stallings of Wallace; nine sons,
Ralph Decatur Rogers, Roy James Rogers, David Earl Rogers Lloyd Carroll
Rogers, all of Wallace, Lynwood Elmo Rogers of Millington, Tenn., Charles
Thomas Rogers, El Toro, Calif., Clarance Homer Rogers of Norfolk, Va.,
Daril Jay Rogers of Bangor, Me., and Kirby Smith Rogers Jr., of Tucson,
Ariz.; five sisters, Mrs. Earlie Farmer of Pulaski, Va., Mrs. Sena
Williams of Chinquapin, Mrs. Mertie Ezzell of Wilmington, Mrs. Lillian
English and Mrs. Sarah Teachey both of Wallace; twelve grand-children
and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, at Norman Memorial Chapel in
Wallace. Burial will be in the family cemetery near the home. Services
will be conducted by the Rev. Leonard Quick.
Visitation will be at Norman Funeral home until the funeral.
