Obituary of Charity Elizabeth English Johnson ~ 1965

Wallace - Mrs. Charity English Johnson, 42, of Rt. 2, Wallace, died 
Sunday night in Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville after a short 
illness.
A native of Duplin County, she was a department store clerk in 
Jacksonville. Mrs. Johnson was daughter of Clyde English and the late 
Lottie Parker English.
Surviving, in addition to her father, are two daughters, Mrs. Linda Mae 
Mote of Rt. 2, Wallace, and Miss Terry Camelia Johnson of the home; four 
brothers, Homer English of Wallace, Harry English of Burgaw, James 
English of Charleston, S. C., and Leroy English of Philadelphia, Pa.; 
one sister, Mrs. Lucy English of Cloverdale, Utah; three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cavanaugh 
Family Cemetery near the home by the Rev. K. D. Brown of Burgaw.
Pallbearers will be Rubin Smith, Dawson Stokes, Melvin Kelly, Albert 
Pierce, George Parker and George Carter.
The body was taken to the home at 6 p.m. Monday where it will remain until 
the service hour.
