Burgaw -- Arthur Buren Anderson, 78, died Tuesday, May 3, 1994, at Pender 
Memorial Hospital, Burgaw.
Born July 18, 1915, in Watha, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mable 
Rivenbark Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was retired after twenty-seven years as a Civil Service auto 
mechanic at Camp Lejeune. He was a member of Watha United Methodist Church 
and American Legion Post No. 165. He served in the US Army during WWII in 
North Africa and Europe.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Veona Danford Anderson of the home; sons, 
Wright Anderson and wife, Gladys, of Wilmington and Thomas Anderson and 
wife, Ann, of Pilot Mountain; daughter, Mrs. Walter (Annetta) Koscher of 
Salem, OR; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Roberts of Wrightsville Beach, Mrs. Harry 
(Esther) Webb of Watha, and Mrs. Macon (Mary) Smith of Willard; and 
grandchildren, Julie Anderson, Catherine Anderson, Karl Koscher, and Erica 
Koscher.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Watha United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Box 398, Burgaw, NC 28425.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Quinn-McGowen 
Funeral Home, Burgaw.
