Obituary of Annie Blanche Danford Rouse ~ 1961

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Danford Rouse, age 77, beloved widow of 
the late A. J. Rouse, Sr. of the Charity Community were held Sunday 
afternoon at 3:00 at the Charity Methodist Church of which she was a 
member, with the services conducted by Rev. John M. Roberts, assisted by 
Richard Loggins. Internment was in Clay Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rouse died Thursday night in the Grotgen Nursing Home in Wilmington 
after a prolonged illness. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. 
John William Danford of Bolivia, N.C.
She is survived by two sons George Rouse of Wallace and A. J. Rouse, Jr. 
of Hyattsville, Md. Three daughters, Mrs. Aldred R. Robinson of the home, 
Mrs. Verda Wells of Wallace and Mrs. Vera Wilson of Wilmington; six grand 
daughters and two grand sons, one brother, J. D. Danford and one sister, 
Mrs. Armelia Eichhorn both of Olivia, N.C., and a large number of nieces 
and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chester Rouse, Jimmie Rouse, David Rackley, Theodore 
Rouse, Loney Lanier, and Edwin Teachey.
