Obituary of Annie Mae White Anderson ~ 1987

Mae White Anderson, age 82, of Route 1, Watha, died unexpectedly early 
Sunday morning at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Watha 
Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Carey Horrell. 
Burial will follow in the Watha Methodist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Johnnie (Doris) Cottle of Watha, 
Mrs. Larry (Ann) Lakins of Nappanee, Ind., and Mrs. R. J. (Susie) Adkins, 
Jr., of Burlington; two sons, Jimmy Anderson of Watha and Marvin T. 
Anderson of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Estelle Rivenbark of Oakland, 
California; one brother, Cedrice White of Watha; ten grandchildren, six 
great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
A native of Pender County, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Gatt 
and Irene Moore White and the widow of Hughlon Anderson. She was a member 
of the late Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Sonny Anderson, Timmy Anderson, Maurice Anderson, 
Lamar Lakins, Randy Anderson, and James Anderson.
The family received at the Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace from 7:00 to 
9:00 p.m. Monday and were at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cottle, 
Route 1, Watha, other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday when it 
will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.
