Alethea Letchworth Parnell, 75, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at
Wilson Medical Center.
A native of Duplin County, she was the daughter of Paul Letchworth and
Mamie Tadlock Letchworth. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness
Church in Mount Olive.
Graveside services will be held at noon today at Wayne Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Alethea is survived by her nephews and nieces, David Bentley Letchworth
and wife Anne of Calypso, Angela Letchworth of Goldsboro, Johnnie Faye
Letchworth Bland and husband William of Norfolk, Va., Paula Letchworth
Cobba nd husband Michael of Wilson, Pamela Letchworth of Wilson; her
sisters-in-law, Faye Callahan of Waycross, Ga., and Jean Letchworth of
Mount
Olive; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
L.K. “Grancy” Parnell.
