Obituary of Albert William Lanier ~ 1981

Beulaville - Albert William Lanier, 72, died Friday night en route to 
Onslow Hospital in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the New Hope 
Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mrs. Sadie Ball. 
Burial will folllow in the Lanier Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Bryan Lanier; 4 daughters, Mrs. Hazel 
Barrett of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Shirley Williams of Richlands, Mrs. Annie 
Griffin and Mrs. Faye Griffin both of Beulaville; 2 sons, Alvis Ray 
Lanier, Placious, Texas, Cecil Lanier of Maple Hill; 6 sisters, Mrs. 
Bertha Brown, Mrs. Marie Mercer, Mrs. Lizzie Sandlin and Mrs. Latricia 
Marshburn, all of Beulaville, Mrs. Edna Earl Setzer of Chandler and Mrs. 
Eveline Thompson of Pine Level; 1 brother, Leslie Lanier of Beulaville; 
26 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A native of Onslow County he was a son of the late Spious and Katie 
Maready Lanier, he was a retired farmer and a member of the New Hope 
Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Timmy Pike, Thomas McNally, Thomas Williams, Gary 
Williams, Kenneth Lowe and Bill Bryan.
The family received at the Edgerton Funeral Home in Beulaville from 7 to 
9 p.m. Saturday where the body will remain until 12 noon Sunday when it 
will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to service.
