Batchelor-Waters Wedding

Candi Dawn Waters and Johnny Ray Batchelor, Jr. were married on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 3:00 in the afternoon. The Reverend Charles Love performed the ceremony at Harper-Southerland Presbyterian Church in Albertson.
The bride's parents are Mr and Mrs Max Alvin Waters of Albertson. The groom's parents are Mr and Mrs Johnny Ray Batchelor, Sr of Beulaville.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr and Mrs Alvin "Giant" Stroud of Albertson; the late Mrs Maxine Waters Taylor of Seven Springs; the late Mr Lemuel Chancey "L.C." Southerland of Albertson; and Mrs Elizabeth Kornegay Southerland of Albertson.
Grandparents of the groom are the late James Allen "Jim" Batchelor of Pink Hill; Mrs Annie Mae Teachey of Beulaville; Mr George Dewey Baker of Richlands; and Mr and Mrs Milton Earl Tyndall of Beulaville.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by both parents. The bride wore a formal gown of white crystal organza designed with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was embellished with schiffli lace, pearl, and sequins ending in a dropped waistline. The A-line skirt was beautifully beaded with lace motifs that were scattered throughout cascading into a cathedral train. Her headpiece was a tiara of rhinestones extending into a two-tier veil of silk illusion fashioned with a beaded crystal on the edge. The bride carried a bouquet of twelve yellow roses adorned with white baby's breath and greenery tied together with a white organza ribbon.
The bride chose her sister, Mrs Star Waters Jackson of Albertson as her matron of honor. Ms Velvet Anne Waters of Albertson, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Doctor Amanda Rose Penny, friend of the bride, from Bunn was a bridesmaid. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Hailey Carol Jackson, niece of the bride, from Albertson. Flower girl was Miss Lillian Louise Jackson, niece of the bride from ALbertson.
The groom chose his father, Mr Johnny Ray Batchelor Sr as his best man. Groomsmen were Mr Joshua Allen Batchelor and Mr Joseph Allen Batchelor, brothers of the groom, from Beulaville. Ring bearer was Mr Jacob Andrew Batchelor, nephew of the groom from Beulaville.
Ushers were Mr James McKinely Basden, cousin of the groom, from Beulaville, and Mr David Alan Jackson, brother-in-law of the bride from ALbertson.
Miss Leigh Jones was vocalist. The wedding was directed by Mrs Maxine Nethercutt Turner and Mrs Lisa Dail Turner. Mrs Amanda Jane Whiddon was register attendant and Doctor Lori Miranda Fox was the program attendant.
A wedding reception was held at the American Legion Post located at 290 Maxwell's Mill Road in Albertson. The couple chose Mrs Tracey Smith Wilson, Mrs Jessica Turner Elmore, and Mrs Lydia Blake Elmore as reception attendants.
The bride graduated Cum Laude from Campbell University School of Pharmacy located in Buies Creek with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degress in May of 2006. She is a pharmacist at Southern Pharmacy Services in Pink Hill.
The groom graduated from East Duplin High School in Beulaville in 1999 and is employed as a welder at Central Heating and Air in Kinston.
After a trip to the Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Private Island located in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple returned to their home in Albertson.
