William Whitfield To N. Whitfield Deed 18 July 1790

(Transcribed by Diane Siniard) Deed Book E Page 23, 24, & 25 William Whitfield To N. Whitfield Deed Gift 715 acres in Duplin County To all people to whom these shall come greeting. Know ye, that I William Whitfield of the County of Wain and State of No. Carolina for and in consideration of the Natural Love good will and affection which I have and do bear unto my beloved son Needham Whitfield and for divers other good causes have given and granted and do by these presents freely fully and absolutely of my own good will and accord give grant and make over all my Right and Title absolutely unto my son Needham Witfield his Heirs and assigns forever, the following messuages Tracts or parcels of Lands situate lying and being in the County of Duplin on the north side of the North East brance of Cape fear River and granted as followeth, one hundred acres to Dennis Foley the 21st April 1764, three hundred and seventy five to Jesse Bargield the 13th October 1765, one hundred to me the said William Whitfield the 29th October 1782 and one hundred and forty acres more or less it being the remainder part of 280 acres which I hold by Deed of sale from Samuel Johnston Jean Blair and John Johnston the 20th January 1780 the whole of said Grants containg seven hundred and fifteen acres be the same more or less, and boundered agreeable to the courses of said Grants and Deeds, refurence being thereunto had, which will fully determine the Courses and bounds of said Lands. To have and to hold the aforesaid Lands and premises, with all the Improvements, previledged, Covenances and advantages of any kind or nature whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Needham Whitfield his Heirs and assigns forever, and I the said William Whitfield for myself my Heirs, Executors and administrators grant to and agree to warrent and defend all our Rights and Titles of said Lands and premises unto him the said Needham Whitfield his Heirs and assigns forever In witness whereof I the said William Whitfield have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this Eighteenth day of July one thousand seven hundred and ninety. signed sealed & delivered William Whitfield in presence of C. Hatch ELizabeth Hatch Sarah Becton State of No. Carolina Duplin County July Term 1790 Then was the within deed proved in open court by the oath of Charles Hatch and ordered to be registered Test W. Dickson C.C.
