Thomas Miller To John Robinson
Deed 350 acres
This Indenture made the sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred
and Eighty six and in the Eleventh year of American Independence Between Thomas Miller of the State of No. Carolina
and County of Duplin of the one part and John Robinson carpenter of the other part. Witnesseth, That for and in
consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds currency to him in hand well and truly paid, before the Ensealing
and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and himself therewith fully satisfied
contented and paid, and every part and parcel thereof doth Exonerate acquit and Discharge the said John Robinson
his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever. have given granted Bargained and sold to the aforesaid
John Robinson his heirs and assigns forever, one certain Tract or parcel of Land, situate lying and being in the
County of Duplin aforesaid on the No. side of Maxfield swamp, and on the Lon Branch of Eldar Creek. Begining at
a pine East side of Branch Mary Whitmans lower corner. Thence her line crossing the Branch S. 75 Wt. 90 poles to
a pine, thence partly with the road So. 10 Et. 64 poles to a pine saplin on Georg Powells line, thence crossing
the Road and Branch No. 88 Et. along said Powells line 100 poles to a pine, Thence the same course continued 100
poles to a stake, thence No. 45 Et. 200 pole to a stake, thence3 No. 45 Wt. 34 poles to a stake, thence So. 40 Wt.
190 pole thence to the first station containing in the whole three hundred and fifty acres be the same more or
less. To have and to hold the said Land and premises with all the appurtainances thereunto belonging to him the
said John Robinson his heirs Executors admrs. and assign forever and I the said Thomas Miller for myself my heirs
Executors admrs. and assigns, do Covenant promise and agree to and with him the said John Robinson his heirs and
assigns, that before the ensealing and Delivery of these presents, That I an the true and Lawfull owner of the
above Bargained premises and I the said Thomas Miller myself my heirs and assigns will warrant and forever Defend
the above mentioned Land and premises to him the said John Robinson his heirs and assigns forever free from all
Incumbrance whatsoever and likewise against the Lawfull Claim of any person whatsoever In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal the day and year above written.
