John Magee To John Farrior
Bill of sale for negro man Ceasar
State of No. Carolina Duplin County. Know all men by these presents that
I John McGee of the State & County aforesaid have justly bargained sold and delivered
unto John Farrior of the same State & County aforesaid one negro Boy named Ceasar for
and in consideration of the valuable sum of one hundred & twenty pounds specie to me
in hand paid before the ensealing & delivery of these presents, & I do hereby warrant
& defend the aforesaid negro Ceasar to the said John Farrior free fron the just or
lawful claim of me my heirs executors adms. or assigns or any other person laying &
just or lawfull claim thereunto. In testomony whereof I the said John Magee have
hereunto set my hand & fixed my seal the date first above written.

Then was the within Bill of sale proved in open Court by the oath of Justice Miller &
ordered to be registered.
