Granted to James Maxwell a Plantation Containing Two Hundred Acres of Land in
Duplin County on the West side of Stockinghead Swamp being surplus Land within
the old Marked Line of his own land, formerly Surveyed and patented by John Miller.
Begining at a stake in Stockinghead Swamp by Henry Maxwells line and runs with
his line down the Swamp S.56.E.164. pole to a Stake Henry Maxwells lower corner -
Thence along Said James Maxwells own line S.33.W.200. pole to a pine by his corner.
Thence N.56.W.164. pole to a pine where John Millers Lower corner Shou,d be _
Thence along said Millers line to the Begining -- Dated the 17th day of December in
the 19- year of our independence, and in the year of our Lord 1794
