James Mills To John Cranford
Bill of Sale for Easter a negroe
North Carolina
Duplin County
Sold to John Cranford one negroe Girl Easter for the sum of Fifty five pounds Current money
of this State the Receipt whereof I the said James Mills do hereby acknowledge myself Contented and paid and
farther I do warrant and forever Defend the said negroe Easter unto him the said John Cranford his heirs and
assigns forever the Title claim and Demand of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness I have hereunto
Set my hand and Seal This 10th of January 1792.
