Jacob Kornega To John Kornega
Deed for 300 acres lands
This indenture made this twenty third day of March one thousand seven hundred and
eighty five, between John Kornega and Jacob Kornega both of the State of No. Carolina and
County of Duplin planters. Witnesseth that the said Jacob Kornega foar divers good causes
and consideration him thereunto moving but more especially for the valuable sum of sixty
pounds to him in hand well and truly paid before the sealing & delivery of these presents,
the receipt whereof I do acknowledge myself to be fully satisfied contented and paid, and I
do hereby acquit and discharge the said John Kornega & his heirs, hath granted bargained sold
conveyed and confirmed and for himself his heirs executors & administrators, doth fully freely
and absolutely grant bargain sell convey and forever confirm unto the said John Kornega & his
heirs, one certain tract or parcel of land lying on the north side of the No. East Branch of
Cape Fear River, and the south side, bounded as follows. Begining at a white oak Edmund
Duncan's corner & runs with his line SO. 20 Wt. to John Kornegy's corner, thence with his line
No. 62 Wt. to a pine his other corner, thence along Owen Daniel's line No. 200 poles to the
swamp, and the run and down the various courses of the run to the begining white oak, containing
three hundred acres of land, be the same more or less, the said Jacob Kornegay by his deed or
paten might or could enjoy the same and the said John Kornega may peacebly have hold use
occupie possess and enjoy the said lands and premises above mentioned with the profits and
benefits thereunto belonging and the said Jacob Kornega doth covenant & agree for himself his
heirs executors administrators and assigns to & with the said John Kornega and his heirs, that
he the said Jacob Kornegay doth hereby warrent and forever defend the said land and premises
above mentioned from the lawfull clame or clames of any person or persons whatsoever. In
witness, whereof the said Jacob Kornega hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day and date
above written.
