Jacob Mathews four hundred acres of land in Duplin County South East side of
Stewarts Creek and both sides of Millers Swamp. Begining at a pine his old
corner of the land he lives on by Sandhill branch. Thence as his old line North
75 East 124 poles to a pine as his other line South 15 East 134 poles to a pine
and water oak. Thence East 240 poles to a pine and black jack. Thence North
120 poles to a pine in a pond. Thence along Beesleys line West 90 poles to a
pine, thence as Knoxes line West 200 poles, thence crossing Millers Swamp
North 112 poles to a white oak and red oak, thence West 140 poles, thence to
the begining.

Jacob Mathews one hundred and ninety acres of land in Duplin County on the
South Side of Stewarts Creek and both sides of Millers Swamp. Begining at
a cypress on the North side said swamp, Arthur Mathews's corner, thence
crossing the creek South 46 poles to a pine his corner of another survey.
Thence West 50 pole to a white oak his corner. Thence along David Tuckers
line South 180 pooles to a pine on the edge of Clear Run Branch. Thence up
said branch by various courses with said Tuckers line 160 pole to a pine by
the Branch head thence North ( Continued on Page 71) Ten East 74 poles to
a pine on the edge of the SandHill Branch, thence partly down said branch
North 5 West 206 poles to a stake North side Millers Swamp. Thence to
the begining.

Begining at a pine on the South side of a large Marsh and South side
Millers David Tuckers corner tree thence crossing the Creek and Marsh
No. 15 Et. 90 poles to a lightwood stump, thence along Joseph Bowens
line No. 75 Wt. 45 poles to a stake. Thence along Hollingswoorths line
No. 84 poles to a white oak, thence East 127 poles to a stake on Arthur
Mathews's line in Hollingswoorths Sprout. Thence along Arthur Mathews'
line South 104 poles to a cypress on the Branch of Millers Creek said
Mathews' corner thence crossing the creek So. 46 poles to a pine thence
Wt. 50 poles to a white oak David Tuckers corner, thence as his line to
the begining.
