Henry Allen Senior To Lavin Allen
Deed 100 acres
This Indenture Made the 10th of August in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand Seven hundred and
Eighty Nine and in the thirteenth year of American Independence Between Henry Allen Senior of the County of
Duplin and state of North Carolina Planter and Laven Allen of the same place planter on the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Allen for and indiverse good causes and Considerations himself thereunto moving and
Consenting hath given granted Bargained sold and Delivered unto his Son Laven Allen and by these presents hath
given granted assigned set over Conveyed and Confirmed unto the said Laven Allen one Messuage Tract or parcel
of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Duplin and State aforesaid west side of the No. East River and
on both sides of Island Creek Swamp Butted and Bounded as follows. Beginning at a pine the beginning corner of
the old Survey and Runing across the swamp So. 20 Wt. 180 poles to a pine thence So. 70 E. 90 poles to a stake
thence crossing the swamp in the Middle of the old Survey No. 20 Et. 180 poles to a stake on the old line thence
along the old line to the Beginning Containing one hundred acres of land be the same more or less. It being the
½ of an old survey of Land deed grantede to me the said Henry Allen from John Shuffield who Lawfully possessed
of athe same by a Patent granted to sd. Shuffield bearing date the Eighteenth day of April 1771. To have and to
hold the said Demised land and premises with all the appurtainances to the same belonging or in any ways
pertaining of every nature or kind whatever to him the sd. Laven Allen his heirs and assigns shall and may from
time to time and at all times have hold use occupy possess and Enjoy As his own free and Lawfull Inheritance free
from all Incumbrances whatever and the said Henry Allen Senior the aforesaid Land and premises to him the said
Laven Allen his heirs and assigs shall and will warrant and Defend forever from & against him the said Henry
Allen Senior as also from and against the Just and Lawfull Claim or Claims of every other person or persons
whatever who may hereafter Lay any Claim or Claims to the same. In witness whereof the said Henry Allen hath
hereunto set his hand and fixed his Seal the Date above written.
