Chloe Simpler To Charles King
Deed 150 acres
This Indenture made this seventeenth day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand
seven hundred and Eighty Eight and in the Twenfth year of the American Independence.
Between Chloe Simpler of the County of Duplin and State of No. Carolina of the one
part & Charles King of the State and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth
that the said Chloe Simpler For and In consideration of the sum of seventy Pounds specie
to her in hand paid by the said Charles King the Receipt whereof hereby acknowledged
hath granted Bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and set over unto him the said
Charles King his heirs and assign forever one Certain tract or parcel of Land in Duplin
Lying on the north east side of White Oak Branch containing by estimation one hundred
and fifty acres be the same more or less It being part of the Tract that the said
Chloe now lives on Containing 365 acres begining at a white oak on the Run of said
white oak Branch Roberts Warrens old begining Line Running thence No. 40 Wt. 108 pole
to a pine thence No. 45 East 174 to a pine thence So. 79 Et. 124 pole to a pine Charles
Wolfes corner thence with his line So. 10 East to the Run of white oak branch thence
Down the RUn of said Branch as it meanders to the begining to have and to hold the
said one hundred and fifty acres of Land with all the appertainances thereunto belonging
to him the said Charles King his heirs & assigns forever. In Fee simple and I the
said Chloe Simpler doth warrant and forever Defend the above mentioned one hundred
and fifty acrfes of Land against all and all manner persons whatsoever having any
right title Claim or Demand to the said premises. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal the day & year first above written.
