Duplin County Deed Bk D-F-T-U, pg 236 - 300 acres
Indenture made on 22 Dec 1815 between Bryan Minshew and wife Patsy
Of Wayne County, NC and John Peele of Duplin County, NC of the one
Part and Robert Williams of Duplin County of the other part - heirs
At law of Robert Peele, deceased. For the sum of $400 to them in
Hand paid by Robert Williams - do sell and convey a parcel or tract
Of land lying and being in Duplin County on the north side of
Northeast River - 200 acres - it being the shares of the said Bryan
Minshew and wife Patsy and John Peele in the lands of their deceased
Brother Robert Peele, being two thirds parts of two tracts bounded
As follows, viz: one tract beginning at a Pine and Robert Serles field
Now belonging to the heirs of Robert Peele, deceased, near the old
House and runs down to the Rooty Branch to Duval's line that divides
Said Surles land and David Duval's north 80 east 28 poles to the
Patent line, thence N 20 W 60 poles with the Patent line to a stake
On the old corner, thence down S 80 W 181 poles to the beginning, it
Being part of a survey of 300 acres patented by Stephen Barfield on
9 Oct 1782
The other tract beginning at a Pine at Samuel Tanner's corner and
Runs S 60 W 125 poles to a fence by said Barfield's line, then S
75 W 12 poles to Rooty Branch, then S 18 W 20 poles to a Pine on
Kornegay's corner, then S 70 W 42 poles with the Patent line to a
Small Pine and bunch of bays in the Hogpen Branch in the old line,
A new corner made for Bryan Whitfield, then W 10 W 190 poles to a
Black jack in the old line on the south side of the Little Sandhill
Pocosin, then N 60 E 60 poles to a Pine, then to the beginning -
100 acres - being a part of a Patent of 180 acres by John Duval on
18 March 1799
