Peggy Phillips Johnson's Pecan Pie
Peggy's Wonderful Pecan Pie
1/2 cup butter (1 stick) melted
1 cup dark Karo syrup
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 & 1/2 cups pecan pieces
2 pie shells - purchased - not deep dish
Melt butter. Add syrup, sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla.
Mix well. Add pecans and mix.
Brown pie shells lightly in oven. Pour 1/2 of mixture in each shell.
Bake together in oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until
pecans are brown and top of pie is firm.
