Fried Tomatoes
Wash and slice green tomatoes. Tomatoes with any red won’t cook right.
Salt the green tomato slices and roll them in flour. You can season the
flour if you wish, but it does not enhance the fried tomatoes in any
way. Drop each tomato slice in hot bacon grease and fry until lightly
browned on one side. Turn over and cook on other side. Serve with your
regular dinner or eat as is with just salt and pepper to taste if
necessary.
