Figs
Take some figs and mix well with a lot of sugar. Cook on low heat until
the figs are soft and the sugar is melted. A bit of water may be added
if necessary to prevent scorching. Takes awhile and will easily scorch,
so this is not the dish to prepare when distracted from cooking. When
done, serve on hot biscuits with butter. Or if you wish to be fancy you
can serve with brie. Now my Granny will surely turn over in her grave
over that idea!!!
