The following is a complete listing of the tombstones in the John Alderman Cemetery in Duplin County, NC.

Location: from Wallace on highway # 41 east turn right on Powell Page Road (SR#1128) go 3 ½ miles the cemetery is on the left you cannot see it from the road it up a path through a cow Pasture 2/10 mile on the left you turn left on Leighton road (SR#1131) and look to the left you can see it

    Monument lying on the ground in cemetery In reverent memory Mary Alderman 1771-1812 and Keziah Alderman 1782 Daughters of John & Mary Cashwell Alderman In 1787 Mary wed Joshua Blanton circa 1764-1847 Their children Moses circa 1788-1842 David 1791-1837 Isaac 1799-1823 John circa 1795 after 1850 Christian circa 1799-after 1850 Abraham 1801-1874 Enoch circa 1803- circa 1834 Joshua Jr 1810-1886 In 1814 Keziah wed widower Joshua Blanton Their children Elizabeth circa 1816 after 1870 Mary Lucretia 1818 after 1880 Daniel Alderman circa 1819 after 1880 Wells circa 1820-???? James Cashwell 1822-1887 Simeon circa 1824-???? Noah 1828-1868 Esther circa 1829-???? Mary's place of burial is not known. Likely her grave is near her parents here in Aldreman Family Cemetery. Two years after Mary's death, her sister Keziah married Joshua in 1829. Joshua and Keziah with their children migrated from near here to Horry Co., SC. It is believed their unmarked graves are in the "NOIE" Blanton Graveyard at (formerly Blanton's X-Roads) now Green Sea, SC John and Mary Cashwell Alderman's other children Christian 1773-1861 James 1775-???? Elizabeth 1778-???? John Jr 1780-1824 Hoover Clarence Blanton and Weldon Leo Blanton, sons of Clarence Leo Blanton, son of James Madison Blanton, son of David Joseph Blanton, son of Enoch Blanton, son of Mary Alderman Blanton dedicate this memorial on behalf of all descendants May 2010 John Alderman Born 1742 At Deerfield New Jersey Came to N C 1755 Died August 1822 His Wife Mary Cashwell Married 1770 Member at Wells Chapel Plaque John Alderman 1742-1822 Placed by Edenton Tea Party Chapter N C D A R John Alderman Jul 15 1780 Oct 19 1824 Aged 44 yrs 2 mos & 28 dys Ann Alderman Wife of John Alderman Mar 2 1782 Mar 31 1857 Aged 75 yrs & 29 dys Susan Alderman May 30 1821 Nov 28 1883
