The following is a complete listing of the tombstones in the Dunn Family Cemetery in Duplin County, NC.

Location Northwest of Faison on Highway # 50, near Junction of Highway # 403. Back of a large home with has a path, about 500 feet from the road. Cemetery is almost to the point of being destroyed.

    The epitaphs are as follows:



    To the memory of James W. Dunn who departed this life October 29, 1838 aged 16 years and I month. This stone is erected to mark the spot where repose the remains of Wm. Cooper, ESQ., of Delaware City, Del., who died on his contract on the W. & R. R. R. the 19th May 1858 aged 35-8-22 His virtues endeared him to a large circle of friends, and his memory requires no better monument than that which lives in their recollection Broken Stone All we could find was Balsora, wife of S. S. Huggins This is all we could find there was several pieces of broken stones. Note: According to Ida Brooks Kellam & Leslie H. Brown, Jr. Volume # 1 book printed in 1960.Are the following: Mrs. Ann Dunn departed this life Sept. 28, 1845, Age 63-5-17 Erected by her Husband to the Memory of Eliza Hurst McNab who departed this life Mar. 14, 1837 Aged 19 years and 3 months She was a Pious, exemplary Christian A dutiful child, an affectionate Mother And an agreeable companion Blessed are the pure in heart For they shall see God In Memory of our Departed Friend Balsorah, wife of S. S. Huggins Oct. 21, 1820 June 25, 1858 aged 37-8-4 Next grave has a broken stone and the record part missing. The footstone has S. S. H.
